WELCOME TO FRBC!

Dear friend,
Dear friend,

Thank you so much for visiting our church website! I pray that you will get a glimpse into the life of FRBC and will come and grow with us! No matter what your walk of life, you are welcome here. God loves you, and in turn, so do we. Come and experience the eternal difference that walking down "Freedom Road" with Christ makes!

I'm sure that you may have many questions about God, our church, or many other things of great importance, all of which I would be happy to respond to anytime. But I have only one question for you...

If today were the day that you stood before God, and He were to ask you "Why should I let you into heaven?" how would you respond?

Your entire eternity depends upon your answer - what would you say? Don't know? Well I have some good news for you! You CAN know for sure that you will have eternal life in heaven with God. In 1 John 5:13 the Bible say "these things I have written unto you... that you may know that you have eternal life." Eternal life is a free gift from God. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 that "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

You may ask, "But why do I need a gift? I'm a good person and I've done so much good - surely God will honor that!" My friend, I thank God and applaud you for living your life so wisely. But the truth of the matter is this: no matter how good we have been, we just can't be good enough to gain God's favor. God is clear in Scripture that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). That "all" includes you and me. If we are really honest, while we have all done many things that are good, we all must admit that we have done things that are bad. God calls those things sin, and sin separates us from God. Thoughts, words or actions - we have all sinned against God, and there is a payment for our sin. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 that "the wages of sin is death." The just payment and judgment for our sin is spiritual death - eternal spiritual separation from God. Romans 5:12 says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." When Adam sinned in the garden sin entered the world. His sin was passed generation after generation down to you and me today - we have a sinful nature. We are all without excuse; we all sin and are sinful.

If you want to save yourself by good deeds then you have to be perfect. Matthew 5:48 tells us something striking: "be ye therefore perfect, even as your father in heaven is perfect." With such a high standard, we must admit that we cannot save ourselves. No matter how much good we've done,we just can't do enough good. So where is this "good news" if Scripture is so clear that our sin has separated us from God? Since there is nothing that we can do to earn our own salvation, how can we ever be reconciled to God? Listen - this is the best news that you will ever hear: "God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!" Jesus Christ, the very Son of God according to Scripture was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life and willingly gave His life on the cross FOR your sin and my sin! You see, Jesus paid the price that we simply couldn't pay. Why would He do such a thing? Because He loves you. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Jesus loves you enough to die in your place - but my friend, Jesus is not still in the grave - He is alive today! Jesus has risen from the dead, and because Jesus lives you can live too. He offers you the very gift of eternal life right this minute. You simply need to admit that you are a sinner and accept the free gift of eternal life paid for by the blood of Christ. That's it - nothing more; no complicated formulas; no religious sacraments\; no works or effort - simply accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. The Bible tells us in the book of Revelation that Jesus stands at the door of your heart and knocks, and if you will answer He will enter into an intimate, personal relationship with you that can never be taken away. Do you feel Christ knocking on the door of your heart? Won't you open your heart to His free gift of life?

Unlike any other genuine gift, heaven is a gift from God. Good work, religious deeds and personal effort can't earn you a place in heaven. In Ephesians 2:8-9 the Bible says "for by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." What will you do with Jesus? If today were the day that you stood before God, and He were to ask you "Why should I let you into heaven?" how would you respond? Any answer other than "because Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord" is a wrong answer. God's will is that you are saved - but He is a gentleman and will not force you into a relationship with Him. The choice is yours. If you were to die today, do you know for sure that you would be in Heaven for eternity?

Simply bow your head and quiet your heart right now and pray something like the prayer below. Please know that reciting a prayer doesn't save anyone, but a heart broken over sin and yearning for a relationship with Christ will be honored by God. Pray something like this:

"Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. I know that I have sinned and I am sorry. Please forgive me for my sin. Please forgive me for rejecting You. I believe that you are God. I believe that you came to earth and were born of a virgin. I believe that you died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You rose from the dead and are alive today. Please come into my heart and be the Savior and Lord of my life. I now willingly turn from my sin and receive Your free gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus, thank you! Amen."

If you live in our area, I personally invite you to Freedom Road Bible Church. If you are out of our area, I encourage you to find a good, Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church and get involved! It's so important that you continue to grow in Christ and that's impossible without good discipleship available in a good church. I would love to rejoice with you! Please email me and I will send you out some information to help you in your new spiritual walk with Jesus. We may never meet on this earth, but one thing is sure - with Christ as our Savior we WILL meet in Heaven! May God bless you richly, my friend!
